Overview
What you need to build, run and publish a game on mugon.net.
mugon.net hosts browser multiplayer games. You build the game, the platform brings the rest: accounts and guests, lobbies and invites (a QR code or a link gets players in), the network connection between host and players, and hosting of your game's files.
Three pieces make up the developer workflow:
- The dashboard at mugon.net is where you create your game and its API keys, and where you manage its versions.
- The CLI turns a folder into a game project, runs it locally the way the platform runs it, and publishes it as a new version.
- The SDKs are what your game uses to talk to the platform: who is hosting, who is connected, how to send data between players, and how to report loading progress.
Where to start
- Follow getting started to go from nothing to a published game.
- Read up on the CLI to see what each command does and how to use it in a real project or in CI.
- Pick your SDK: Bevy is the main one, plain JavaScript works for everything else. Unity, Godot and Trunk are on their way.
